Thursday Tidbits and Thoughts

“Christ and His church, when they are at the lowest, are nearest rising.  His enemies, at the highest, are nearest their downfall.”   – Richard Sibbes, The Bruised Reed

Several good blog posts came across my computer this rainy Thursday in Louisville.

- Phil Johnson at Pyromaniacs posts a timely video chronicling, in their own words, the truth about the Emergent Church.

- Faith by Hearing has posted an MP3 of a timely message by D.A. Carson, “What is the Gospel?”

- Tullian Tchividjian posts a helpful reminder from his forthcoming book, Unfashionable, about how we need to think Christianly about everything.

- Owen Strachan at Consumed has written a wonderful article that all bloggers should read entitled, “In Pursuit of God-Glorifying Blogging.”

- Don Hinkle at Thoughts and Adventures has come forth in full support of Albert Mohler as the next SBC president.

- Timmy Brister has written a great biography for the Puritan great, Richard Sibbes.
