Links, Moral Issues, and the Presidential Election

By this time next week we will have a new President (hopefully).  After long months of election coverage, political conversations with family and friends, and the agony of a decision will all be over.  This nation will make history next week by electing the first African-American president or the first woman vice-president.  Will the country bleed red or turn blue?  Truly the Lord only knows.

It is important that Christians are well informed about the issues that matter before entering the voting booth on November 4th.  In my thoughts there has never been a more clear choice in the history of this nation.  Your vote greatly matters in this election.  It is necessary that we remember that we are Christians first and foremost; before Republicans and Democrats.  It is necessary that we are Christians when the curtain is closed and we pull the lever.  It is necessary that we are Christians in the consideration of the issues upon which the candidate stands that we are voting for.  We are Christians before a presidential election and we will be Christians after – let us be so during.
